We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us cannot be guaranteed.
Introduction & COPPA Compliance
This Privacy Policy describes how Skip Skool University LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses personal information from users under the age of 13 ("Children" or "Child") in connection with our online courses and educational platform. Our practices are designed to comply fully with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable global student data privacy regulations.
Information We Collect From Children
We strictly limit the collection of personal information from Children to what is necessary for participation in our educational courses.
Account Creation: Children cannot register themselves. Accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian.
Persistent Identifiers: We may automatically collect IP addresses, device IDs, or cookies. These are used solely to support the internal operations of the platform (e.g., maintaining user preferences, authentication, and analyzing platform performance).
Coursework and Participation: We collect student progress, quiz answers, and coursework submissions.
Interaction Features: If our courses include video feeds, audio features, or chat functions, these are strictly moderated. We advise students never to share personal identifiers. Live video streams are strictly utilized for real-time instruction and are not stored unless explicitly consented to by parents.
How We Use Children's Information
We use the information collected from Children exclusively to:
Deliver, personalize, and improve our educational courses.
Track academic progress and provide feedback.
Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our digital learning environment.
We never use a child's information for behavioral advertising, profiling, or commercial marketing purposes.
Verifiable Parental Consent & Communication
Before a Child can access our courses, we require Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC). We obtain this by:
Requesting a parent’s email address during initial registration.
Verifying the parent's identity using a high-level verification method (e.g., a credit card authorization, a signed consent form, or a video call verification).
Parents will receive a direct notice detailing what data we collect and how it is used. If consent is not provided within 7 days, all contact info collected during registration is permanently deleted.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or publicly share any personal information collected from Children. Information is only shared with trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting or student roster tools) that are legally bound to protect the data and use it only to support our internal operations.
Coursework, grades, and communication are kept entirely private between the student, parent, and authorized instructors.
Parental Rights and Control
Parents have complete control over their Child's data. At any time, a parent or guardian can:
Review the specific personal information collected from their Child.
Request that we delete their Child’s personal information from our active records.
Refuse to permit further collection or use of their Child’s information.
To exercise these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. Please note that deleting certain data may require closing the student's active course account.
Data Retention and Security
We retain a Child's personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the educational purposes of the course or to comply with legal obligations. Once the account becomes inactive or upon a valid parental deletion request, the data is securely destroyed or permanently anonymized.
We utilize industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS), firewalls, and restricted access protocols to secure all student data. [1, 2]
E-mail Communications
From time to time, we may contact you via email for the purpose of providing program updates, coaching session reminders, announcements, and other general communication related to your enrollment in Skip Skool University.
If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from us, you may opt out of such communications by clicking on the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of any of our commercial emails. Please note that opting out of marketing emails will not affect transactional communications related to your active enrollment.
SMS Opt-In & Opt-Out Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to +1 575-400-4755. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [email protected].
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive three messages. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy: https://tradewithwasi.com/privacy-policy
